International digital art show returns to QUT
Fresh from an exclusive preview exhibition in
Yokohama, Japan, The
Vernacular Terrain - an exhibition exploring environment,
and political and cultural place - will be on show to Brisbane
audiences for a limited time before heading to China for its
final stop in an extensive 2007 tour.
This year's International
Digital Art (IDA) project features over 45 national and
international artists with an array of award-winning and
premiere works crossing a broad practice of video, interactive
media, installation and photo-media art.
With a focus
on the Asia-Pacific region, the exhibition embraces the
talents of leading Chinese artists like Maleonn and Cui Xuiwen
(whose work is pictured left).
The print component is
now open at QUT Art
Museum, with the new-media element to open at The Block
(Creative Industries
Precinct) on 28 August.
