'A first for Brisbane'
RED CAP: The
Exhibition paired with La Boite Theatre
Company's stage production of RED
CAP, is a first for Brisbane, said exhibtion curator and
Director of QUT Precincts Peter Lavery.
Never before have local audiences been treated to a
premiere stage show with an accompanying full-scale
exhibition.
With the exhibition exposing the media onslaught of the
1964 industrial dispute and the stage show focusing on the
community's courage in the face of the unknown, two unique yet
complementary recollections of events will be on show at the
Creative Industries
Precinct from 19 July.
Join the curators for a free
informal guided tour and discuss the issues surrounding
the Mt. Isa mining dispute on Friday 27 July, 7pm at The
Block.
