Summer of the Seventeenth Doll
Opens 30 April Bookings 07 3007 8600
This legendary play depicts the fortunes of cane
cutters Barney and Roo, who travel south every year to
spend their layoff in the house of Roo's girlfriend,
Olive. Year after year they bring with them a kewpie
doll as a symbol of their long-standing ‘arrangement’.
But this year, time and circumstance have
conspired to change things forever and no one, not even
the youthful and naïve Bubba from next door, will emerge
unscathed from the summer of the seventeenth doll.
