What is art? To Be Confirmed...

Challenging long held ideas of what is considered art, craft and design is the emphasis of the 2007 Arc Biennial exhibition, To Be Confirmed, which has just opened at QUT Art Museum.

Most of the 50 artists on show are Queensland-based practictioners - highlighting prodigious home-grown talent.

The works can't be pigeonholed into any one traditional arts category, which means a selection of endless conceptual possibilities, according to co-curator Gordon Craig.

The 2007 Arc Biennial is managed by Artworkers Alliance and a three-day symposium of forums and lectures by internationally renowned artists, curators and writers will also be held from 12-14 October.
